Sandra Enimil

Sandra Aya Enimil is the Vice President of the Chicago Fashion Foundation. She is an attorney with a love for all things fashion. From childhood she assisted her mother, a seamstress, in creating and designing jewelry, clothing and home fashions. In 2006, she partnered with her mother in launching, Nubian Creation, www.creativenubians.com, for her mother's handmade/one of a kind accessories for the person and the home. In July of 2007, Sandra decided to stop buying funky and interesting jewelry and to start making and selling her own. She then launched her own jewelry design company, Pretty Afrika, www.prettyafrika.com, where you can buy ready made and custom order pieces as pretty as Africa.
Sandra graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a degree in Political Science and Psychology. After graduating from Michigan, Sandra lived in Ghana for two years. While in Ghana, she earned a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Ghana, Legon. Upon her return from Ghana, Sandra worked at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City as a Program Associate in African Studies, Women's Human Rights and U.S. Foreign Policy. She then attended the University of Illinois College of Law, where she served as an editor of the Journal of Law, Technology and Policy. Sandra's student note was on the preservation of indigenous artifacts and native cultures. While in law school, Sandra had the opportunity to work for Kate Spade as a Legal Intern. This experience provided a much welcome return to her love of fashion. Sandra participated in surveillance of counterfeiters and assisted in Kate Spade's rigorous anti-counterfeiting initiatives.
Sandra previously held the position of Scholarship Chair of the Chicago Fashion Foundation. She is involved in various civic, social and community service oriented activities in the Chicago-land area. In her spare time, she enjoys vegging out in front of the TV, reading fashion magazines, going to anything artsy and dancing in the mirror.
