Katie Vermylen
Katie attended the University of Delaware, and recently graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Apparel Design. Throughout her undergraduate education she was an intern with multiple Chicago-based designers including; Patricia Rhodes Custom Couture, Lauren Lein Ltd., Lara Miller Ltd., and K.Aamto Designs. She is currently working for Kristen Amato at K.Amato Designs on the development of the new Couture by K.Amato line. As a recent graduate, Katie knows how important it is for fashion students to become involved in the quickly evolving Chicago fashion industry. She emphasizes that the development of networking opportunities and the creation of connections for potential internships are the best ways for students to get actively involved in the industry. . |
Katie Vermylen serves as the Student Membership Chair for CFF and has been a member of the organization since 2003.
