DEVIN KATHERINE MCKENNA
Devin
Katherine McKenna is a founding board member of the Chicago Fashion
Foundation. She currently serves as Vice President of Development
overseeing membership, sponsorship and scholarship initiatives for
the organization.
Devin graduated from Columbia College Chicago. Following an internship
at the Michigan Avenue Saks Fifth Avenue's Fashion Office, she moved
to New York City to become the Membership/Marketing Director of
the Color Association of the US (CAUS), the oldest and most well
respected color & trend forecasting service in the United States
& Europe.
After nearly four years at CAUS, Devin moved to Stockholm, Sweden
for several months to fulfill a dream to live abroad. After returning
to the States she pursued a career in public relations, first at
Middleberg Euro where she specialized in consumer internet accounts
such as Priceline & SesameStreet.com, then at Ogilvy PR as a Senior
Account Executive where Devin was responsible for a five person
account team managing two London-based clients.
Devin is currently the Store Manager for Sugar Magnolia, an upscale women's boutique on Oak St. in Chicago. Her responsibilities include marketing, public relations, sales and event planning for the 30+ yr old iconic retail establishment.
In addition to marketing and public relations experience, Devin
is also a published writer and fashion stylist whose articles and
work have appeared in consumer publications such as Gear and Paper
magazines in addition to various ad campaigns and editorials. She
also studied French for six years at Alliance Francaise in both
New York and Chicago.
