LAURA E. (BETH) LAMBERT
Laura
E. (Beth) Lambert is the founder, designer and owner of Scarlet
Designs. She started her company in 2002 after becoming frustrated
trying to find clothing that suited her needs, something timeless
yet trendsetting, versatile but vibrant. She wanted clothing to
mix and match with pieces she already owned and that would be appropriate
in any situation whether a business meeting, out to lunch with friends,
or a black-tie gala.
Prior to launching Scarlet Designs, Beth worked in the corporate
world of commercial real estate where she held roles in corporate
strategy and operations management. For three years she worked with
Security Capital Group, a real estate capital management firm headquartered
in New Mexico, and its affiliate companies. Before joining Security
Capital, Beth was a commercial real estate consultant at the accounting
firm of Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal in Chicago.
Originally a violin performance major in college, Beth changed
her studies and received her B.S. in Finance from Indiana University
in Bloomington. She later earned her Masters of Management from
the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
A Kentucky native, she now makes her home in Chicago.
Beth is a founding board member and Treasurer of the Chicago Fashion
Foundation that has the mission of fostering a fashion network in
Chicago, while heightening the awareness of Chicago and its fashion
resources. She also is an avid supporter of the arts and Chairs
the Community Outreach and Development Programs for the Ravinia
Festival Auxiliary Board which presents world class music and dance
while promoting local arts education in Chicago area schools.
